Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. The absorded heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems or hot water in your home. Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air in much the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. The pump can extract heat from the air at temperatures as low as -15°C.

The benefits of air source heat pumps

  • Lower fuel bills, especially if you are replacing conventional electric heating
  • Lower carbon emissions by reducing fuel usage
  • Can heat your home as well as your water
  • Minimal maintenance required
  • Potential income through the UK government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
